Five armed men rob home in Glenvista

Residents of Pietskop Street have confirmed that this is not the first robbery to occur.

Five armed men charged into a Glenvista home on Pietskop Street this afternoon and assaulted two people with a gun.

The homeowner and two others were in their garden when the incident occurred. The men took the three victims inside and assaulted two with guns. The thieves demanded to know where the safe was. When they were told there is no safe they made off with jewellery and a camera. The men were all armed and driving a Chevy SUV champagne silver colour.

Glenvista CPF were first on the scene. According to friends at the house, the police arrived over an hour later,

Residents of Pietskop Street have confirmed that this is not the first robbery to occur. “This street has had homes robbed often during the last few months. This particular home has been robbed twice in the last few months.”

The Victim Support Unit was on the scene when the reporter arrived.
