New Mrs South Africa to be crowned at Emperors Palace

The newly crowned Mrs South Africa will depart days after crowning, to represent her country at the Mrs World competition in Incheon, South Korea on October 26

SCHWARZKOPF Professional Mrs South Africa is hosting their annual grand finale to crown their new Mrs South Africa 2017 on October 21 at Emperors Palace.

The grand finale production will be hosted by Emperors Palace, featuring the sensational Minnie Dlamini as the master of ceremonies for the night, and produced by one of Africa’s leading show producers, Jan Malan. It will feature a star-studded guest list of top South African talent and top leading South African designers Werner Dey, Anel Botha, Khosi Nkosi and leading Canadian international clothing brand, Joseph Ribkoff.

South Africa’s own Mrs World Candice Abrahams, who is also the reigning Mrs South Africa, will be crowning her successor on the night.

“In just a few weeks, a very special lady will walk into her destiny. The Mrs South Africa movement changed my life, it will never be the same. I’ve been blessed to change my own life and break free from fears that were holding me back, to encourage women around the world to live out their dream,” said Abrahams.

For the last six months the finalists have undergone many workshops which have been focused on empowering them, in all facets of their life and have worked with the Mrs South Africa’s official charity, Cansa by hosting Cuppa for Cansa events and raising awareness within their communities about the disease.

“I cannot express enough how grateful I am to CEO Joani Johnson for taking this women empowerment movement to the next level, a step to making change in our country,’’ said Abrahams.

The Schwarzkopf professional Mrs South Africa finalists will stay at Emperors Palace for pageant week which runs from October 17 to 21. Finalists will be preparing for the grand finale show and will be out to impress the celebrity judging panel comprised of: principal judge, Cindy Nell Roberts (former Miss South Africa), Vusi Zwane (Emperors Palace Peermont Hotel corporate affairs and corporate social investment executive), Zuraida Jardine (TV and radio personality) and Joan Madibeng (former Miss South Africa 2003 and businesswoman).
