Heritage celebrated at the JHB prison

The day was so much fun and different ethnic groups cooked their traditional meals for everyone to taste.

OFFICERS from the Johannesburg Correctional Service’s area management celebrated their heritage on Wednesday, September 29, at the sporting grounds of the Johannesburg Prison, also known as Sun City.

The officers showcased their ethnic and cultural groups, their food, music and traditional wear. The purpose of the heritage celebrations was to educate people about diversity and for everyone to have a deeper understanding about other cultures, especially at the workplace.
