New microscope for Mulbarton Primary

The travelling lab visited Mulbarton Primary School.

SHARE Science began in 2014 with the hopes to promote a better and more stimulating learning experience in poorer schools.

Share Science has a mobile lab which visits schools offering a 45-minute demonstration of how exciting science can be.

The travelling lab visited Mulbarton Primary School on Friday, September 16. The school helped with a fund-raiser which raised enough funds to purchase two microscopes. One of these microscopes was handed over to the school on Tuesday, September 20, and the other microscope found a home at Stoneridge Primary School.

Both schools were ecstatic about the new addition to their science labs, knowing that this equipment will enrich pupils’ learning experience.

William Walker from Share Science said: “We are trying to equip all schools with the same level of apparatus as you would find in all private schools. We have asked the education department for assistance but were told their budget doesn’t allow for anything other than the bare minimum.”

“In our experience, the bare minimum will result in children achieving the bare minimum too,” he said.
