Feeling snug

Winter blankets were handed over to Queenshaven management from SOJO’S CEO, Nicky Vakaloudis, for their home based care outreach programme, at Moffatview Old Age Home.

SENIOR residents will be feeling the benefit of warm blankets this winter, after Queenshaven Old Age Home benefited from SOJO Business and Tourism’s recent Christmas in July event, which was held at Thaba Eco Hotel.

Winter blankets were handed over to Queenshaven management from SOJO’S CEO, Nicky Vakaloudis, for their home based care outreach programme, at Moffatview Old Age Home.

“One of our SOJO members, Tanzer Transport, donated money to our cause and we purchased warm blankets through Rotary Johannesburg South,” said Nicky.

Lenie Thomson, senior social worker at Queenshaven, said they have been offering assistance for quite a while to the seniors in Moffatview Old Age Home. “We do what we can to help the seniors here, many of who get little or no help from anyone else,” she said.

Nicky and Peter Soester (Rotary Johannesburg South) went along with staff from Queenshaven to hand out the blankets to the seniors at Moffatview Old Age Home, who were delighted to receive them.
