Celebrating women

The guest speaker was Sylvia Bouwer, with the chosen charity for the event, The Papillon Foundation, who are located in Rosettenville.

WOMAN@WORK celebrated Women’s Day with a lunch at Doppio Zero, Mall of the South, on Tuesday, August 9, with all in attendance enjoying the afternoon.

The guest speaker was Sylvia Bouwer, with the chosen charity for the event, The Papillon Foundation, which is located in Rosettenville.

Both Stephen and Marian Smith from Papillon attended and Stephen explained what the foundation is about.

“We are an independent non-profit and non-denominational, a-political public benefit organisation and involved with social outreach skills training. The charity side of the foundation assists in caring for the young and old in need and we are always requiring clothing, blankets, toys, nappies, furniture, bedding, food, appliances, toiletries, etc.,” said Stephen.

Most of the ladies dressed in pink for Women’s Day and the event was enjoyed by all, with a delicious lunch served by Doppio Zero.
