TWO of Harvest Christian School’s pupils did their school proud with their achievements in the areas of dancing and football.

Alilali Madzivhanilia, a Grade Six learner at Harvest Christian School, started to dance at the age of three and has taken dance lessons at the Sheila Flahtery Dance Studio since 2010.

She has participated in over 25 dance competitions locally and has represented Gauteng North Acrobatics Dance Association in 2014 and 2016.

As part of Dance International, under the auspices of Sheila Flahtery Dance Studio, Alilali, with 80 other little girls, represented South Africa by participating in the 2016 American Dance Awards, in New York’s Times Square.

She obtained one gold medal for her solo dance, a second gold medal for the group dance and a high silver for her trio. She also qualified for two international dance competitions that will be held in 2017, in Australia and Croatia.

Sipho Ngoza, a Grade Five learner at the school, has been awarded his Eastern District u.12 colours for the 2016 season.

He was selected to represent the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA), from among many other participants. He will also represent ELFA in a tournament to be held in Kwazulu-Natal, in October.

The school wishes them every success in the future.
