Walking and giving in the name of Mandela

Residents walking and giving food parcels in the name of Mandela at the Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

LOCALS from the South of Johannesburg and Alberton gathered at the Rietvlei Zoo Farm for a 6.9km fun walk for Mandela Day on Sunday, July 17, just after donating food parcels.

The fun charity event was organised by the Papillon Foundation in conjunction with Seeff to help collect food parcels, which were donated to Carletonville Village Camps for the poor. Mrs South Africa finalist, Corinne Cornelissen was present from Durban to support the initiative and endorse the Papillon Foundation.

Stephen Smith, founder of the Papillon Foundation, thanked all the supporters, sponsors, Seeff, Tony Macrell and Corinne for taking their time to help make the event a successful one.

Corinne will share some of the proceeds of her book titled ‘A New You’ with the Papillon Foundation to help the it achieve and grow, as she loves what Papillon does for the less fortunate and underprivileged. To get a copy of Corinne’s book for only R250, contact her at corinne@paysolutions.co.za.
