There’s no party like a Rawson Party

Gypsies, tramps and thieves all at the annual Rawson rally

PRINCIPAL of Rawson Properties in Glenvista, Johan Van Tonder, held the 11th annual rally on Friday July 8.

Approximately 270 “gypsies”, “tramps” and “thieves” from Rawson Properties in the northern region gathered at the Glenvista offices for a full day of fun and festivities. Managing director Tony Clarke and his wife Carla from Cape Town also graced the annual auspicious occasion.

Spirits were high as the rally kicked off with breakfast. Thereafter the rally through Alberton and Johannesburg South began with 45 branded cars convoying through the south.

Brand ambassador of Rawson Properties in Glenvista, Haley Webber thanked the Ekurhuleni Traffic Department for the police escort.

“The annual Potjiekos Competition was a great success with an impressive 25 potjies being entered into the competition,” said Webber.

All-day live performances by Dagdroom, palm reading, and neck and shoulder massages by Sirini Thai Day Spa were among the plethora of activities enjoyed on the day.

Boerewors rolls were sold and a raffle was held, with all proceeds going to the new Amcare Stepping Stones Youth Section.
