Annual winter collection drive

The collection of blankets, old and new clothes, groceries, cash donations or any usable items will end on June 4.

THE Southern Suburbs Hindu Cultural Society is once again embarking on its project to distribute clothes and groceries, among others items, to the underprivileged.

They would like to thank the public for generous donations in the past, which have gone a long way to assist the needy. The collection of blankets, old and new clothes, groceries, cash donations or any usable items will end on June 4.

The organisations that received donations in the past include the following:

Adishankara Ashram (100 per cent BEE), Ramakrishna Centre (100 per cent BEE), Salvation Army (100 per cent in support of underprivileged persons), Maria Kloppers (100 per cent in support of underprivileged persons), Johannesburg Children’s Home (100 per cent in support of underprivileged persons), Truth for Christ Ministries (100 per cent in support of underprivileged persons).
