New committee for Eikenhof WI

Joy Boswell was re-elected as the president and some of the previous committee members reinstated for another year.

CONGRATULATIONS: The new committee for 2106/2017: Anne du Plessis, Joy Boswell (presdient), Julie Board, Marjorie Latimer, Sue Veal, Alva Harrop, Norma Fordred, Evelyn Ondestal, Pat Leech and Bronwen du Plessis.

AFTER the Annual General Meeting of Eikenhof Women’s Institute, a new committee was chosen to serve the members for the next year.

Joy Boswell was re-elected as the president and some of the previous committee members were reinstated for another year.

Prayers were held and a candle lit for members who have passed away over the last year. Joy read her annual report and Norma Fordred (treasurer), informed the members of the financial status and all the members were happy.

Members who have accumulated over 1 500 points for their monthly participation in competitions over the year were awarded and each received a gift of an embroidered tea tray cover. Tea and refreshments were enjoyed and fellowship shared.

The next meeting will take place on May 11, at St Andrew’s Church hall in Burger Street, Suideroord.
