Mom and son found safe

Father is making plans to get mother and son back to Johannesburg.

CARMEN Scriven (26) and Kayden (2) were found in Kwa-Zulu Natal on Thursday, March 31, 10 days after they went missing.

During a phone call with the father, Peter Pietens, he said that they were found through a lot of people’s search effort.

It is not clear how they got to KZN, because their car was found outside a pawn shop in Alberton North over Easter weekend. “I am just relieved that they are safe and sound,” Peter said.

The RECORD reported about their disappearance online on March 29 and again on March 30.

“We are now just making plans on how to get them back to Johannesburg,” Peter said.

They went missing from Forrest Hill on March 22. Peter told the RECORD that he last contacted his ex-wife that night at 23:00.

They have been separated for more than a year now and his son was supposed to spend his birthday with him.
