A SECURITY guard employed by Eller Security and based at Stanley Park, The Parks, Oakdene, was stabbed and died on the scene in the early hours of Thursday, March 31.
The chief in charge of security for Eller Security, who was also at Stanley Park when the attack took place, said, “A resident of Stanley Park came to the guardhouse at the main gate asking for money. We told him we didn’t have any money and he left, walking back to his unit.
“The security guard left the guardhouse later to patrol the complex, and when he was on his way back he was attacked by the same resident who was asking for money earlier.”
The security guard was stabbed by the resident and died on the scene.
Moffatview Police Station has been asked for comment, and according to Inspector Biyela, the investigation is still taking place and comment will be given once it has been finalised.
