Pikitup, the City of Johannesburg’s Waste Service Management Company, informs residents and business owners that Pikitup’s workers who are affiliated to the union SAMWU have downed tools.
This illegal work stoppage will affect refuse collection in all the regions of the City of Johannesburg. Details of the impact and contingency plans will be communicated at a later stage via the Call Centre, Pikitup’s website and social media pages.
