Booysens SAPS officers' investigations helped the court convict guilty suspects.

BOOYSENS SAPS management is very proud of, and thanks, its officers at the Booysens Detective Branch for achieving the convictions of guilty suspects, thanks to their excellent investigations and arrests.

Cst Jessica Motshweneng investigated a house break-in that took place in Turffontein on Saturday, 19 September. The accused was sentenced to eight years imprisonment, suspended for five years on condition that the suspect was not convicted for the same crime.

W/O Fanie van Staden investigated a house break-in that occurred in Oakdene in September 2011. The accused was sentenced to seven years imprisonment as well as being declared unfit to possess a firearm. He also investigated a business break-in in Ophirton in March last year and the the accused was sentenced to a five-year direct prison sentence. He further achieved success by investigating a recent house break-in and theft that occurred in Booysens on Monday, 25 January. The accused was sentenced to eight years imprisonment.

Sgt Mofonwa Rangwanasha was given a case of house break-in and theft that took place in October of 2014 in Forest Hill. Excellent investigations helped sentence the accused to eight years imprisonment. The accused was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.

Booysens SAPS communications officer, Lorraine van Emmerik, reported these convictions by the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 22 February.
