Children, come and read at the Alberton Library

Alberton Library held a reading for a group of children on Saturday, February 20, and the RECORD was there to join in the fun.

ALBERTON Library held a reading for a group of children on Saturday, February 20, and the RECORD was there to join in the fun and discover the magic of storytelling.

Hilda Tshweu (58), has been a librarian since 1990, and has been at the Alberton library since 2006.

“We read to the children, hold library orientation sessions and have puppet shows for them as well,” said Hilda.

The library also offers puzzles and sometimes holiday activities for kids from the ages of three to six.

The library is open on weekdays from 09:00 to 16:30, and Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00.
