OVER the past few months, management at South Rand Hospital have noticed that some patients take their files.
This practice had a negative impact on appropriate records management and compliance with the stipulated waiting time which is 100 minutes (1 hour, 40 minutes).
South Rand Hospital is continuously striving towards improving the quality of healthcare services it provides to patients within the catchment area and making the hospital the people’s choice in terms of service provision.
Therefore, it is imperative for the hospital to partner with the communities that it serves in order to achieve the set objectives of excellent service delivery.
Furthermore, for the purpose of effective records management, South Rand Hospital management would like to request that out-patients leave their patient files at the hospital after consultation. The hospital requests cooperation from all the patients who visit the establishment.
