Cyclist killed in Eikenhof
Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries.
A MAN, believed to be in his 30s, was killed on Tuesday, February 9, after he was knocked off his bicycle on the R554 in Eikenhof, South of Johannesburg.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found a lifeless body of a man lying on the side of the road, a few feet from his bicycle.
Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries.
Unfortunately nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on scene.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have sustained only minor injuries.
Paramedics treated and thereafter transported the patient to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by local authorities.
