OWNERS of Rona’s Coffee Place, Rona and Julius Schmidt, have decided to sell their quaint coffee shop, which has become a household name over the past 10 years.
Situated in Rifle Range Garden Centre, Rifle Range Road, Rona’s is known as a place ‘where old friends meet’ and Rona has become good friends with many of her regular customers. “It will be sad to say farewell but all good things must come to an end sometime. It’s been a wonderful journey with you all and I’m sure you’ll still enjoy Rona’s and everything it will still offer with great new owners.”
Shelley and Thinus Putter and Kathy Lane will be taking over the establishment and were introduced to some of the regular customers at a welcoming party at Rona’s on Saturday, January 23. “We are really looking forward to beginning our new venture and we intend to keep the menu and opening hours the same, as well as the name and we are sure the staff will be staying with us. Rona’s Coffee Place has become a well known coffee shop in the South and we are looking forward to meeting all the customers and giving them the same excellent service which they have grown accustomed to over the past 10 years,” they said.
