Seven distinctions for Glenvista High learner

Andrea Lau from Glenvista High School achieved seven distinctions in English, Afrikaans, math, life orientation, business studies, life sciences and physical sciences.

GLENVISTA – She credits her full house of distinctions to the support of her family and friends as well as to the dedication of her teachers. But not the least, her faith in God has also helped her excel in school. Extra-mural activities have also played a big role.

Throughout her school career Andrea has always been very sporty and her favourite sports are swimming and hockey, as well as participating in  Eisteddfod and public speaking, just to name a few. “After studying the whole day, I often go to the gym to swim for an hour.”

Andrea is passionate about animals, which has led her to pursue a BVSc – Veterinary degree where she has been accepted to study at the University of Pretoria. “Everyone should feel they have a purpose in life and I believe mine is to help animals,” Andrea added.
