A stitch in time at Crown Gardens

The ladies are going to continue in February and progress to level two dressmaking classes.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Seven ladies from the Crown Gardens Sewing Class successfully completed the level one dressmaking course in only three months.

According to their teacher, Premi Roopanand, the ladies have done an excellent job by learning to use sewing machines and to sew garments. The ladies are going to continue in February and progress to level two dressmaking classes.

Roopanand started hosting her sewing classes in Sandton and ladies from the South and Alberton travelled all the way to attend her classes. This is the reason why she has brought her sewing lessons closer to her scholars with a move to Crown Gardens.

“Those interested in joining my class again can come to the Crown Gardens Recreation Centre, we have classes on Thursdays from 09:00 to 12:00. You can call Premi on 072 750 0375,” said Roopanand.

The Sewing Class needs residents and potential sponsors to please donate machines or a storage space for machines.
