Charities4Change hosts networking function

The Charities for Change hosted their networking event on October 26 and 50 charity organisations attended the highly informative meeting.

ALBERTON – Epic Foundation‘s Charities4Change networking function, on October 26, was, once again, a great success.

This time, the strategy of the function was changed so that the focus was not only networking between non-profit organisations, but also included corporate social responsibility divisions from corporates. Organisers believe the function will be of great benefit to all those who attended as it will help create a link between the corporate world and the non-profit organisations.

Megan Naidoo, national corporate social responsibility partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers, attended the function and, besides sponsoring the food bill for the morning, spoke to the group about PwC’s approach to corporate responsibility, their flagship programmes, employee volunteer programmes, schools development programmes, entrepreneurial development, pro bono services and plans for the future. The input and information shared was of tremendous value to all who attended and very positive feedback received afterwards.

The function was hosted at Zio-G, at The Core in Sunninghill, who kindly sponsored the venue. The function was attended by 50 people from organisations such as POWA, National Freedom Network, Choc, SOS Children’s Village, Matrix Men, Realstart, Childline, Flying for Life, Refilwe Community Project, Noordgesig Life Skills Development Centre, Ripple Reading, JHB Mini Junior Council, Blair Athol Primary Farm School, Dignity Dreams, Lawyers Against Abuse, The Grace Factory, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Tsohang Youth Project, Afrika Tikkun, Tisetso Training, Slovo Centre of Excellence and Champion Fire Ministries.
