Impala Road accident

More speed traps should be set up

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – On Thursday, October 15, at about 07:00, an accident occurred on Impala Road, Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve.

According to an eye witness on the scene, a woman driver lost control of her vehicle, a Mini Cooper, when she blacked out. “Her car careened over to the opposite side of the road and she hit a utility van coming in the opposite direction,” he said.

The woman was taken to Mulbarton Hospital for treatment and the driver of the utility van also sought medical treatment.

“This road has seen far too many accidents of this nature. I’m not saying all motorists speed along Impala, but many do. When I drive at 60kms, which is the correct speed limit, I’m often beeped at or motorists flash their lights at me. More speed traps should be set up,” said a woman at the accident scene.
