KNR important notice – emergency meeting
Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve is a critical biodiversity area (as per GDARD).
KIBLER PARK – A current development at the reserve has damaged this irreplaceable vegetation beyond repair. This was done despite assurances that no developments were planned.
All interested and affected parties are invited to attend an extra-ordinary meeting to discuss these developments, as well as future planned developments as they impact directly on the future of the Reserve.
Objectives: 1) Review the legal status of the development in terms of environmental law.
2) Establish the rights of the community in this regard. The right to be informed, consulted and to influence decisions and projects directly impacting the community.
3) Establish a roadmap for the way forward.
The meeting will take place on Monday October 19, 18:00 for 18:30, at Steel Wings, Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre, Peggy Vera Rd
