New premises needed for Epic Foundation

Epic Foundation has been growing at an alarming rate and the Comfort Pack project distribution has taken off in a big way.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Alta McMaster, CEO of Epic Foundation says, “We are the largest provider of these packs in Gauteng and I am also supplying to all the Netcare 911 hospitals throughout South Africa as well as some victim empowerment centres in other regions.

“Our Fairy Godmother Project has  doubled in size over the last week, with the stunning donation from Bride & Co (Eurosuits) of 1 500 suits for the young men which will enable us to help them with their outfits as well. We have been trying to achieve this for some time now, but just did not get donations of suits in at all.”

Epic Foundation’s premises is currently 162 square metres and the space has now become too small for the what is needed. “Unfortunately the industrial park where we operate from do not have anything bigger available for Alta and she is looking for approximately 300 square metres for use of the following:  Keeping bags and toiletry items for the Comfort Pack Project as well as a working area for volunteers to pack bags; an area to hang out dresses and suits for the Fairy Godmother Project – as well as space for shoes, jewellery, handbags, ties, etc, also space for a fitting area when they come in to select outfits; an area for tables and computers for our training centre for the Step-Up Project as they now have a qualified counsellor for Epic Foundation, so an  area is needed to set up a private counselling room and  general office space for tow large-piece desks, filing cabinets etc.

“We are looking for two things, support in terms of funding to pay the rent and  premises available for us to use. From a logistics point of view we would prefer to remain in Johannesburg South or Alberton areas. If anyone can assist us with our request, please let me know, on 011 940 6230, fax 011 209 4176 or email: info@epicfoundation.org.za
