Expect another petrol price drop

This is due to the continued downward trend of international petroleum prices

Consumers can expect the price of petrol to drop by between 55 cents and 64 cents at the end of the month.

The diesel price is expected to drop by between 53 cents and 57 cents and illuminating paraffin at 60 cents per litre.

This is due to the continued downward trend of international petroleum prices; the international oil price has seen a continued slip over the past months.

According to the Automobile Association of South Africa (AA), the expected drop should come despite a weak local currency with the Rand having weakened considerably against the US dollar since July.

AA said in a statement that there’s still a reasonable prospect of a drop in the fuel prices at the end of the month.

Earlier this month, the price of petrol dropped by 51 cents per litre and diesel by 76 cents.
