Exclusive: Glenvista High addresses corruption charges

The school gives Comaro CHRONICLE an exclusive interview

Since Monday, August 10, Glenvista High School has come under fire for various reasons.

Gauteng MEC for Education Panyaza Lesufi revealed the findings of a forensic report, conducted by KPMG, regarding allegations of maladministration and misappropriation of funds by high ranking individuals.

Prince Maluleke, a member of the School Governing Body (SGB), spoke to the CHRONICLE and addressed the findings of the report.

“This isn’t the first audit; we’ve already put in place control systems to ensure that we receive permission. Where there were accounts open without permission, we’ve applied for permission and they’ve been granted by the department. That was long before the report was released,” explained Maluleke.

He further addressed other findings in the report such as the charges of budget tampering and recruitment irregularities. For more information stay logged on www.comarochronicle.co.za
