GLENVISTA – According to Lt Col Katlego Mogale from South African Police Service, a case of house robbery and an inquest have been opened for investigation, after two suspects were fatally wounded in a house in Swartberg Road, Glenvista on Monday morning July 25.
The intruders shouted at the couple that they were going to shoot them. A struggle for one suspect’s firearm ensued with the man of the house, a shot went off and he managed to fight off the assailant who fell off the third floor balcony to his death.
At that stage the wife reached for her licensed firearm under her pillow and shot the second intruder. Both were certified died on the scene. One died in the bedroom and the other just outside the front door of the premises.
