Green Business Platform on June 5 to take an in depth look into adopting resource proficient approach and making businesses more effective

KLIPRIVIERSBERG – On June 5, the Green Business Platform will take an in-depth look into how adopting a resource-proficient approach could make businesses more effective at mass scale, on sustainable tourism practices.

Two guest speakers, founders of the Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme (STPP) Niki Glen and Caroline Ungersbock, who are climate leaders in sustainable tourism, will attend.

Programme director Glen’s key area of speciality is in setting up and running mass scale projects and programmes. She is currently helping to drive STPP, a non-profit company, established with the aim of bringing about mass scale change within the tourism industry.

Co-founder Ungersbock will focus on methods of driving change across the tourism industry, thus making it more sustainable.

Unggersbock is a serial entrepreneur and runs a number successful businesses. She is deeply entrenched in tourism and a member of the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) Board. She also received the Chairman’s Award in 2014.They will address the importance of the tourism businesses, how it will make your businesses more efficient and how you can participate in programmes which are aimed at mass scale implementation of sustainable tourism practices. Information on STPP membership and all the other programmes in which businesses can participate, will also be provided.

Make your way to the Green Business Platform at Thaba Eco Hotel, in Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, on June 5, at 07:30 for 08:00. The cost is R50 per person payable at the entrance and includes finger snacks.
