Cycling SA offers coaching course

Three UCI accredited Level 1 Coaching Courses will be held in three centres in SA.

CYCLING South Africa’s Coaching Commission is flying out Canadian Elite Master Coach Houshang Amiri to deliver three UCI accredited Level 1 Coaching Courses in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg during April.

Course content has been revised by the UCI since the last course was facilitated in South Africa. Adding to this, the internationally accomplished Olympic and World Championship Coach brings a wealth of knowledge in his field. Attendees will garner great value by interacting with him to further their learning experience and grasp concepts.

The entry-level course is open for all coaches and aspiring coaches to attend. Those who successfully complete the course will earn a Level 1 Certificate, which will be issued directly by the UCI. Attendees, would do well to complete the entry-level programme, particularly since the Coaching Commission will be following up with a UCI Level 2 Coaching Course later in the year.

For the Level 2 Coaching Course, qualification to attend will depend on having a Level 1 Certificate or recognition of prior learning.

The course runs for seven consecutive full days and includes all course material, lectures, lunch and refreshments each day. The cost is R4 000 per attendee and space is limited to 30 attendees per course:

The course will be offered from Monday to Sunday, April 20 to 26 in Johannesburg.

To book your place, please send an email for attention Siphokazi to info@cyclingsa.com indicating your interest to attend.
