ALBERTON- Mr Kevin Mostert, a Teacher at Bracken Primary, has found a compatible kidney donor and his operation is scheduled to go ahead.
Kevin’s medical aid only pays two thirds of the operation, and the harvesting of the donor’s kidney is not covered.
The kidney transplant will cost R155 000, and the harvesting of the donors’ kidney amounts to R65 000. The tests that the donor has to undergo costs about R20 000.
The Lion rugby jersey of Mr Julian Redelinghuys is going on auction through Bid or Buy to raise more funds. The new jersey is a collector’s item for any Lions supporter, and has been signed by Julian and the other Lions players.
The bid starts at R5 000 and is open from February 25 at 12:00 to March 18 at 12:00.
