Harcourts donates needed funds to TLC

The money donated will be used to purchase a laundry machine to cope with the washing for 37 babies.

HARCOURTS Delta Real Estate in Mondeor has donated R13 000 to TLC Ministries Children’s Home in Eikenhof.

TLC Ministries Children’s Home is a registered children’s home caring for newborn to three-year-old children who have been abandoned or are in need of new families. They aim to place babies into “forever families” within the first year of their lives, and for those who do not have this option they continue to care for them as long as needed.

To date more than 800 babies have been placed in forever homes. They provide a holistic care to 37 babies and 35 older children. The babies’ every need is catered for and off-site hospital and medical care is provided should the need arise. They have an on-site trained international volunteer caring for the babies at all times.

“The money donated will be used to purchase a laundry machine to cope with the washing for 37 babies,” says Michael Sears, principal from Harcourts Delta.

According to Richard Gray, CEO of Harcourts South Africa, the Harcourts Foundation was launched on the back of an overwhelming response from its members wanting to make a difference to their local communities.

“Through ongoing fundraising efforts, sponsorships and voluntary commission contributions by agents, our group has raised more than R2,1 million for the Foundation,” he says.

“By assisting TLC Ministries Children’s Home, which does so much for so many with so little, we’re upholding the Harcourts Foundation’s commitment to providing support to help, grow and enrich our communities.”
