Life imprisonment for suspect

On February 23, Kgotso Mokoena, a 28-year-old suspect was convicted to life imprisonment for murder, 10 years for attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances and six months imprisonment for malicious damage to property.

MONDEOR –  All charges will run concurrently with the life imprisonment by the Palm Ridge High Court.

On Tuesday November 19, at about 01:15 Mr Nkosi, age 46 and his 16-year-old daughter entered their yard in Fielding Crescent, Mondeor and parked in the garage, when Kgotso Mokoena and his accomplice approached Mr Nkosi and demanded his vehicle

In the mist of the argument Kgotso shot Mr Nkosi. Mr Nkosi died on the way to hospital. The suspect, Kgotso Mokoena, was arrested in December 2013 in Hillbrow, where he was hiding. The case was investigated by Warrant Officer Zwane of Mondeor SAPS.
