A skills empowerment programme completed a full circle when Precious Rubies Spa and Beauty Salon open its doors.

The Spa is situated at Carnival Club Hotel and is operated by two graduates of the Afrisun East rand Community Trust, a skills empowerment programme at Carnival City.

Lulu Mnisi and Ruby Booi, who were sponsored by AERCT and Carnival City in 2010 to study Somatology and hair dressing at the Rene Institute of beauty and Therapy in Brakpan, will be running the new luxurious spa. They will be assisted by five expert therapists in a serene setting.

“We are absolutely delighted to see our dream of operating our own spa come true after two year and after we have done our training,” said Booi, “We look forward to a long and rewarding association with Carnival City.”

The spa is open from 09:00 to 19:00, seven days a week. The spa provides beverages and fruit platters.
