Southern residents still battling without water

As parts of Johannesburg South still have no water after four days, residents had either driven or walked to the water container opposite the silver ball on South Rand Road.

TULISA PARK – Some residents in the South have been without water since Friday evening September 19.

“We realised we had no water on Friday evening at about 22:00. We were hoping we would have water again on Saturday but no such luck.

“On Sunday evening, quite late, a truck came around South Hills delivering water bottles,” said Natassja Mioch who lives in Glen Crescent. It’s not too bad for us as we don’t have any children but our neighbour has a toddler and a baby and she is finding it very difficult without water.”

Maria Mkthotasa from Risi Street, Linmeyer had walked up to the water container which is on the open ground across from the silver ball at the top of South Rand Road.
