The Glen Shopping Centre crime: Management regrets robbery

The management and staff of The Glen Shopping Centre regret to confirm that an armed robbery took place at Altech Autopage on Monday September 8.

OAKDENE – Four armed suspects entered the shopping centre through entrance 10 at around 17:30 and proceeded to Altech Autopage where staff were held at gunpoint.

The suspects fled the scene with cell phones in a charcoal grey Audi,  registration number DC25 DPGP.  No shots were fired and no-one was injured.

SAPS are investigating the incident and the Gauteng Police Commissioner, Lesetja Mothiba, will be addressing a media briefing this morning regarding the increased number of mall robberies in the province.

Security remains a priority at The Glen and we are proactively working with the SAPS to identify criminal activity.  Tenants are also briefed to assist in keeping a lookout for known suspicious individuals and asked to alert security when necessary.
