President Zuma must pay

"We as the NFPYM are extremely concerned by the high level of disrespect, hooliganism and anarchy that we have seen happening." - Secretary

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – The NFPYM supports the view expressed that President Zuma must do the honourable thing and pay back the money, which was used on areas which did not form part of security classifications during the upgrades at his Nkandla homestead as per the findings of the Public Protector.

The National Freedom Party Youth Movement strongly believes that President Zuma must respect the Chapter 9 institutions.

“Under the circumstances, the honourable thing that our President can do is to pay back the money that was used for the swimming pool and theatre unless he is convinced that having such a luxury could add value to his safety and that of his family,” said secretary-general of the NFPYM, Busi Tshabalala.

“If the President firmly believes that having a theatre could prevent criminals from threatening his life, than he must not pay.

“But also, by the same token, we as the NFPYM are extremely concerned by the high level of disrespect, hooliganism and anarchy that we have seen happening in the Parliament of the Republic recently.

“President Zuma is the face of our country and our elderly, and as such he deserves to be treated with respect.

“We cannot have a situation where he is mocked by people who are ill-disciplined by nature, whose only thing that equals us with them is the air we breathe.

“But more importantly, the people who have proved beyond reasonable doubt that their thinking capabilities are so limited that they could manage an H symbol in woodwork at school.

“As young people of this country, we are ashamed to share the same age group as those barbaric individuals.

“We have witnessed a bad vibe between President Zuma and the clown Commander-in-Chief of the EFF Mr Julius Malema. We wish to propose that they be given a boxing match outside the parliament to deal with their sour relationship, because we can’t tolerate people using parliament to settle political scores,” said NFPYM secretary-general Busi Tshabalala.
