GILLVIEW – As tradition has it, the event is held in aid of a less fortunate orphanage or crèche in the south of Johannesburg and Christmas is all about giving a gift to a child.
This year the event presented a three phase benefit when SOJO commissioned Upcycle to make educational toys out of waste to donate to Cotlands for their country wide toy libraries. SOJO and Upcycle were delighted to be part a worthy cause as the outcome contributed towards a better environment, supplied people with a job while ultimately educating a mother and child.
There were wonderful prizes and gifts and the guests were entertained by Harry Talas and Sue Green.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our annual Christmas in July dinner event as well as all our generous sponsors. As usual we had a fabulous time and look forward to seeing everyone again next year,” said Nicky Vakaloudis CEO of SOJO Business and Tourism.
