Volunteers needed to feed feral cats

Make a difference in a feral cat’s day. Members of the public who are feeding feral cats are in need of more volunteers and donations.

ALBERTON – Members of the public that have been working with feral cats are asking the public for help.

Three women, Sally Pinto, Charlmaine Pereira and Linda Regan, have been feeding, trapping and sterilising feral cats.

To date they have sterilised 500 cats, thus they have prevented hundreds of unwanted kittens and ensured that the feral cat colonies decrease naturally.

Those involved would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have been involved with the feeding, trapping and sterilising efforts. They request that any members of the public who are willing to volunteer to help feed the cats contact them.

Volunteers will need about an hour a week to help with the feeding of the cats. If it is needed, volunteers could be supplied with cat food.

If you have a love for cats and you are keen to help, please contact Linda Regan 076 774 2506.
