ORMONDE – AN educating event for invited guests from various groups and companies took place on July 16 in the Conference Centre at Gold Reef City Casino.
The focus was entrepreneurship skills for the youth of South Africa, presented by Step Up 2 A start Up’s Martin Sweet.
The focus of Step up 2 a Start Up programme is to provide practical tools that can easily be applied by budding entrepreneurs.
Gareth Cliff was the host of the evening who introduced each business sector, while the necessary representatives explained their involvement in the project.
Even so, special guest James Caan, an entrepreneur from the UK, explained his goals and future in the entrepreneurship world by sharing pointers on how he had challenges in order to devise an infrastructure for a project which provides the seed funding and support for ambitious, experienced recruitment professionals to start their own recruitment ventures.
Not only was it an informative event for all, but also a networking opportunity: Entrepreneurship is about identifying, creating and capturing value in areas not seen by others.
