Body found in Glenvista

A partially decomposed body of a man in his late twenties, was found in the undergrowth on the corner of Bellairs Avenue, Laubscher and Comaro streets.

A man's body was discovered in the undergrowth on the corner of Bellairs Avenue and Laubscher Street, Glenvista.

GLENVISTA – The body was discovered on the afternoon of Wednesday June 11, by two vagrants and reported to D&D Armed Response officer, Marius Greef. He saw a vehicle with JMPD officers passing by and flagged down the car. Mondeor SAPS were called to the scene as well as Glenvista and Mondeor Community Forum members.

JMPD, Mondeor SAPS, D&D Tactical and Glenvista and Mulbarton Community Forum members were at the scene.

“The man’s body has started to decompose and it looks like he could have been dead for at least a few days,” said Greef.

According to a member of Glenvista Community Forum, the man is known to local vagrants and his next of kin will be notified.

The man allegedly had a wound to his head but cause of death is still being investigated.
