Certified e-waste collection points

Have an electronic appliance that you could spare for recycling, here are local collection points that will help you recycle and make extra money.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Electronics are very difficult to recycle and proper recycling is an essential practice by waste traders.

When it comes to the disposal and discarding of electronic waste, all parties involved have a responsibility of making sure that the electronic waste discarding process is managed well.

Should consumers of electronic appliances wish to take their recyclables to a certified local collection point, eWASA (e-Waste Association of South Africa) have listed on their website all collection sites in Gauteng.

All nearest registered collection points are: Woolworths (CFL’s only) including The Glen, Rosebank, Sandton, EastRand Mall, Morningside, Eastgate.

Other certified Woolworths stores are Northcliff, Northgate, Brooklyn, Bryanston, Castle Walk, Cedar Square, Centurion, Cresta, Farramere, Fourways, Hazeldene, Hyde Park, Irene Mall, Menlyn and Rivonia.

Makro Crown Mines – cnr of Hanover Street and Main Reef Road, Johannesburg Silver Lakes – cnr of Stellenberg and Hans Strijdom road, Woodmead Waterfall Crescent, Woodmead Ext. 5, Centurion – Bloukrans Street, Highveld Ext. 2, Centurion, Strubens Valley – cnr of Hendril Potgieter and Christian de Wet and Pretoria.
