Extensions for Netcare Mulbarton Hospital
An extra five bed high care ward will be added to Netcare Mulbarton Hospital in the next few months as well as a 10 bed psychiatric unit, due to open the middle of May.
MULBARTON – “There is a lot happening at the hospital at the moment and a fire-upgrade has just been completed to comply with legislation.
“We are very excited about the upcoming new additions to the hospital. The psychiatric unit promises to be a huge asset and will be kept as homely as possible with sliding glass doors leading to a garden. Dr M Mohlala will run a dedicated 14 day programme for patients who suffer from bi-polar and depression.
“The extra five bed ward for high care patients will assist the ICU ward and we’ll be able to accommodate more patients. We expect this to be ready mid-July,” said Nellie Koen Hospital Manager.
Koen added, “I’m extremely focused on providing quality care at Netcare Mulbarton Hospital.”
