Two shot in Ferox Drive Glenvista

A man and woman were shot by armed intruders as they arrived at their Ferox Drive home on Saturday March 8 at about 16:30

GLENVISTA – They both underwent emergency surgery on Saturday.

According to Glenvista Community Forum (GCF) the woman is apparently doing quite well and will be having another operation in a day or two. The man is stable.

GCF members were on the scene on Saturday with Glenvista Victim Support Unit assisting the family as well as Netcare and ER24 paramedics and SOG Tactical from Alberton.

A massive manhunt ensued between Glenvista, Glenanda, Mulbarton and Mondeor patrollers, as well as Mondeor SAPS, SAPS TRT, Johannesburg flying squad and JMPD. It’s believed four armed black male suspects are still n the run.

“We are appealing to residents to assist in coming forward with information on Saturday’s shooting.  We have precious little information and it is unlikely that any fingerprint evidence will be available.
Residents in and around Vista Drive, Ferox Drive, Basson Drive and surrounding areas on the Glenvista Koppie are requested to check their cameras between 15:30 and 16:30 to see if they can spot any activity which may lead to the arrests of the suspects. One of the suspects was wearing a Bafana Bafana shirt or track top and one had on a red shirt. The suspects are possible working with a yellow/green old model Peaugeot/Citroen. The vehicle may have different colour panels. Please speak to your domestic staff and gardeners and ask if they may have any information,” said Mike Fontes from GCF.
