Woman hijacked in Mondeor

A woman was hijacked on Tuesday February 4 at about 13:00 in her drive in Bellefield Road, Mondeor.

MONDEOR – According to the woman’s husband, his wife arrived home at about 13:00 and opened the remote gate and drove in. Two suspects managed to get into the property before she could close the gate and apprehended her. They were both armed. They drove off with her in her vehicle, a Land Rover Discovery, 2103 model (silver).

“They drove her around the neighbourhood and returned to our home, where they threatened her and made her open up the house. They locked her in the bathroom, left the property and drove off with her car and handbag,” said the woman’s husband.

“My wife managed to contact me and I phoned Tracker. The tracking device was found in a veld but the vehicle couldn’t be traced. This was a terrifying experience for my wife and she was very badly shaken up,” he said.

One of the African suspects has a light brown complexion, the other was dark. A case has been opened at Mondeor SAPS.
