Six distinctions for Glenvista learner

The year 2013 proved to be a very fruitful one for Grade 12 learner and soon to be graduate, Bheeshma Patel.

GLENVISTA – Having received an opportunity that many young girls and boys in South Africa can only dream about, Bheeshma had a chance to meet and interact with US President Barack Obama, and he also had a chance to prove himself as a dedicated and hard worker when he undertook to write his Grade 12 examinations. This year, he found out that he accomplished six distinctions.

As a top learner of Glenvista High School, he was invited to attend an event at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), where Barack Obama addressed a group of youths.

Academically gifted and also a chess and cricket boffin, Bheeshma says he’s anticipating studying aeronautical engineering at Wits University this year, and is also looking forward to seeing his friends from high school again as they will all be going to the same university.

Bheeshma won the Dux Scholar in Grade 11 as well as achieving in many other academic subjects.
