UCPA hosts Christmas party for children

A lovely time was had by residents and other attendees at the UCPA Christmas party.

TOWNSVIEW – Staff and residents of the United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA) joined in the festive season spirit and hosted a Christmas party at their residence in Townsview on November 29.

Attendees were treated to a lovely performance by popular Afrikaans musician Chrizaan as well as a surprise visit by the one and only Father Christmas.

Learners from Mondeor High School were responsible for the well-received presents that were given to the residents. They were also treated to a KFC meal which was sponsored specifically for the event by KFC and many other treats by other donors.

“A fun time was had by all,” said UCPA Executive Director, Marie van den Berg who also added that “On behalf of the children we would like to thank the following people: Chrizaan and Guillaume for entertaining the children, Mrs Brimray and pupils from Mondeor High School for organising a present for each child, Adre Niemand from KFC for lunch for all the staff, Sai Baba for lunch for the children, CPS Promotions for Christmas decorations, Des for being Father Christmas, Carnival Foods for party packs, Rob and Karey from Imagine for biscuits and juice, Market Caterers, Spar and G4 Civils.”
