SANSUI Summer Cup showed a glimpsed of this year’s premier horse racing event.

Only a few weeks to go till Nomverber 30 when SANSUI Summer Cup will be held at Turffontein Racecourse and the designers are showing their creations for this event.

The event will have a fashion theme, which is “Colour to Conquer.” On Thursday November 7 at the Sakhumzi Restaurant in the heart of Soweto in Orlando west’s famous Vilakazi Street some of the designers showed what the fashion trent will be at the event.

Jozi is the perfect place to host such an esteemed event, as it is the glamour capital of Africa. The event will comprise of twelve day and night races, and will feature top thoroughbreds challenging one another over 2 000 metres for a whopping R2 million.

However, the fun doesn’t stop there. 25 celebrities will race for charity in the HiFi Corp Charity Dash, an exhilarating sprint to raise funds for the event’s official charity, Rainbow and Smiles, a non-profit organisation providing support to families and caregivers diagnosed with cancer. As if that isn’t enough fun, there’ll also be a “Mo-Kini Sprint”, where some of SA’s hottest men will race in “mankinis”, raising awareness for Movember SA, as well as an after party lighting up the night, courtesy of the SANSUI Sound Experience.
