Marist Brothers Linmeyer hold successful golf day

What an 'eagle' of a golf day it turned out to be for Marist Brothers Linmeyer Golf Day.

GLENVISTA: Perfect weather soared ahead, ‘birdies and eagles’ flew around the course and golfers were in high spirits, so what more could one ask for in order to host the perfect golf day on Friday October 11, at Glenvista Golf Club.

“A huge vote of thanks goes to Graeme Joffe, all the golfers, companies, parents, staff and whoever helped make this day such a wonderful success, without your loyal support it would not have been possible,” said Tracy Edwards Marketing Officer.  Congratulations to winners of the day.

Golf prizes: First prize sponsored by Gold Reef City (stayover) – Andre Olewagen; second prize sponsored by Thaba Ya Batswana (stayover) – Attie Scott. Auction: Seekers Lara’s Travel Pty Ltd sponsored two tickets to Cape Town return, two nights’ accommodation and three day car hire – Neil Bower; A B de Villiers autographed cricket ball – Neil Bower.

Raffles: First raffle – first prize: TV sponsored by Aura Projects – won by Reinhard Otto who kindly donated it back to the school. The TV was then auctioned and Michael Hart was the successful recipient of this wonderful prize. Second prize: Chainsaw sponsored by Termo Lawnmowers – ‘FatMan’; third prize: Brothers Printer, Fax and Copier sponsored by Copy Type Pty Ltd – Quinton Jacobs. Second Raffle – Wheelbarrow of alcohol sponsored by SAB – Gareth Jackson; Lucky Pinnacle draw: Prize of 2014 textbooks sponsored by Pinnacle Education – Les Forsman. Nearest the Pin: R5 000 Laser Boutique Bedfordview gift voucher – Graham Beck.
