Sandile Ntshingila (23) from Crown Gardens was crowned as the new face of Africa’s biggest new channel, The Mtv Base.
CROWN GARDENS – Sandile will host his own show called the SA Top 10 every Thursday 18:00 (channel 322) from October 31.
He, along with thousands of hopefuls, entered the competition called The Mtv Base Vj Search and at the end it was down to three candidates; him, Cyprian Ndlovu and Tsholo Semenya at the Grand Finale at The Venue, Melrose Arch on Saturday October 19, brought to you by Citroën DS3 Cabrio.
Zigizendoda Radebe, his friend said, “I’m a proud resident of the southern suburbs of Johannesburg, Crown Gardens. This is good news, my best friend Sandile Ntshingila entered this competition where he beat out thousands of entrants across the nation to be crowned as the new face of Africa’s biggest music channel in an unforgettable grand finale.
“Sandile joins the likes of Sizwe Dlomo and Nomuzi Mabena both well-known personalities all over South Africa. Sandile did not only win a one year contract with Mtv Base, but also a car (a stylish new Citroën DS3 Cabrio worth a cool R315 000).
“He is soon to become a celebrity, I felt that people of the South should know about this good news,” explained Zigizendoda.
The choice of winner was made by judges Sizwe Dhlomo, Bonang Matheba and Joey Rasdien in conjunction with MTV Base Channel Director Tim Horwood and members of the public voting online; and via SMS. MTV Base VJ Nomuzi Mabena revealed the news to the stunned winner in
front of his delighted friends and family.
